In 2020 it became the 10th most popular site in TorrentFreak’s Top 10 most popular torrent sites. In 2018-2019 many operators or members of TamilRockers were arrested. Due to its illicit content, the site has faced several lawsuits against it, one of such being filed by Amazon, and as a result, the site has been offline since October 2020. Currently, only its proxy sites are operating
