The UK Armed Forces get new body armour improvements for women. The experiences of women in the Armed Forces are continuing to be improved by the Defence by rolling out new and updated combat clothing and body armour. The body armour was announced on International Women’s Day and will be available to British military personnel from April 2022 and has been improved for Defence’s drive in modernising and better recognising the diverse needs of all serving within the ranks.

The armour is called the Virtus Scalable Tactical Vest (STV) and has been through many hard trials with serving female soldiers for ensuring that the personnel have more tailored protective equipment it also demonstrated Defence’s commitment to meet the needs of growing servicewomen in defence.
